THE PALESTINIAN QUESTION
AND THE WAR IN IRAQ ARE CLOSELY LINKED
If
George W Bush has attacked Iraq, it is "to finish the work"
started at the time of the war of the Gulf :

to reverse the socialist Ba'athist State,
- to seize the oil richnesses of the country
- and to isolate Palestinian Resistance in front of the Zionist colonialism.
The
Palestinian question is one of the keys of the policy of American-Zionist
aggression against Iraq.
Ba’athist
Syria is on the way of radicalisation, by self-defense. “Al-Thawra” daily on
Monday April 12’ has blamed the wrong US policy in Iraq as the cause
behind recent bloody conflict there and warned that this situation would
put pressure on the upcoming presidential elections in the US.
“The
bloody conflict taking place now in Iraq and which is starting to cover
all the country constitutes part of the wrong US policy in Iraq and one of
its bad consequences and heavy burdened results on the US Administration
too,” the daily said in its commentary.
It
warned that this US policy would also have an effect on the political
future of the US President George Bush himself in the forthcoming
presidential elections.
The
ba’athist newspaper noted the lack of pro-war advocates in the US
administration to understand the Iraqi people and his nature in an
objective way as a people that rejects the occupation and is stick to its
rights of independence, sovereignty and its geographical and political
unity. “ They do not understand that in case of not attaining his
independence; the Iraqi people will turn into a resisting people like any
other occupied people when dealing with occupiers” , It said.
It
warned the US that one day it would found itself alone in the Iraqi swamp
and reiterated that the wrong policy that has been followed by the Bush
Administration and reaped war as it is a warrior without predicting its
results has brought a tragic situation for its forces of occupation and the
Iraqi people.
For its part, “Tishrin” newspaper (Damacus) praised the Iraqi people for his success to foil the occupiers and new colonialist bids to control him noting that the final say and deed would be his.
“The Iraqi people which owns an old history of struggling and a big political awareness as well as a great national experience has made these desperate attempts a failure”, the Ba’athist daily said in its editorial.
It
warned that the situation is facing many options and expectations but what
is sure is that occupation delivers resistance and that peoples were
increasing their determination and intention to achieve freedom, dignity
and victory.
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s visit to the United States is a new way to make more military and security cooperation and this would lead to escalate tension in the Middle East and increase pressure on the Arabs and Palestinians.
“What
is happening in Iraq has to impose itself on Sharon’s meetings the
matter that will make Israel a more aggressive and arrogant entity in its
practices against the Arab countries”, the daily “al-Baath” (Damacus)
said about this visit.
It
called Arab countries for more coordination and solidarity to face current
risks and threats and to seek to restore the UN its role in a way that
would help to provide potential conditions to bridle deterioration and
achieve stability and security in the Middle East.
More
than ever the Ba'athist

to which the way of the Arab Unity passes by the liberation of Palestine
