"AMERICAN ACCOUNTABILITY ACT":
TO RESPOND TO THE YANKEE ECONOMIC WAR,
IT IS NECESSARY TO FOLLOW
THE EXAMPLE OF BA'ATHIST SYRIA !

The United States is accustomed to accuse its enemies of “terrorism”. But which is the true terrorist State ? Where are the war criminals ?

The United States is the first terrorist state in the world. It practises direct military terrorism, in particular against Libya, Iraq, Yugoslavia, the people of Latin America or yesterday against the Vietnamese people. It practises terrorism by procuration, through intermediary puppet states in Palestine or in Kurdistan in particular.

It practises finally the permanent economic war in the planetary empire of the Dollar by the domination of the World Trade Organization and its systematic practice of monetary handling, dumping and aggression. We Europeans, know it  too well.

The principal weapon of Yankee economic terrorism is the systematic policy of the embargo and the economic blockade, supported by their UN puppets and  which aims at destroying economically and humanly too many people  on the surface of the earth. Were thus struck ba'athist Iraq – 3.000 assassinated children each month by the embargo during more than one decade –, Libya, North Korea, Cuba, Sudan, Yugoslavia and today ba'athist Syria.

We estimate that we must respond to the United States with the same weapons that it has chosen. Today, when the American aggression is thus especially and mainly economic, when the geo-economy tends more and more to replace geopolitics, it is necessary to oppose to the United States the weapon of the economic boycott.

The PCN thus calls for the systematic boycott of the American positions in the world from the rubbish of the Yankee anti-civilization, symbolized by the lowness of Hollywood and the reign of sodas and hamburgers, until the advanced technological productions of the United States. That one does not buy any more any American car, television, or refrigerator in the world ! That one does not use any more only one of their patents, that one refuses everywhere to buy their books, to watch their films, to consume their agricultural produce! Then for the United States the beginning of the end will start.

In addition, at the time when the world-wide crisis strikes hard the people of the Third World and where in Europe even each year million unemployed people are added to the long troop of those left behind by the capitalist society in bankruptcy, this position will have the merit to start again our economies jointly.

The example to be followed comes from Syria. Since last May, the USA has launched a process of embargo against ba'athist Syria, the second target of Washington after ba'athist Iraq and the principal current obstacle – with ba’athist Iraqi Resistance – to the American- Zionist neocolonial  project of the “Great Middle East” (1). It is  the “Syria Accountability Act”, which intends to strike the Syrian economy and the Syrian positions in Lebanon (2).

But Damas did not itself be overawed and the response came quickly: that of the economic boycott ! 130 Syrian deputies proposed “American Accountability Act” and economic and commercial sanctions against the United States.

It is about a bill relating to sanctions against the United States. To support their request, the representatives of the Syrian people explain that “the United States supports in an unlimited way Israel and seeks to divide Iraq through its denominational policy with the Iraqis…”. It is on the initiative of a deputy of Damas, independent Radouane Al-Masri, elected member of the “National Progressist Front” which gathers the Syrian patriotic forces around the Ba'ath Arab Socialist Party, that the bill saw the light in reply to the “Syrian Accountability Act” voted by the American Congress. The Syrian Parliament could thus transform the parliamentary proposal into “American Accountability Act”. Deputy Al-Masri addressed to the Presidency of Parliament the list of the signatories of his bill, approved by 130 of the 250 deputies. Among the signatories, there are 45 independent deputies (on 85), but also several deputies of Ba'ath.  The initiators expect that the implementation of commercial sanctions on the United States can cause losses for the American economy of about 300 million dollars a year !

The deputies want also to prohibit the activities of the US oil companies in Syria. They ask the government “to prohibit the activities of the American oil companies operating in Syria, in response to the sanctions which Washington imposed to it since May 11”. According to one of these deputies, Mohammed Habache, this bill “must be discussed on June 27 at Parliament. It is about a moral position vis-a-vis the permanent charges uttered by the United States” against Damas. The American companies of services operating in the oil sector “were largely affected” by the American sanctions whereas “those working in the prospection and the development (of the gas and oil fields) were not affected”, had affirmed last week the Syrian Minister for Oil Ibrahim Haddad.

The Syrian example is to be followed and developed on a planetary scale. It must be accompanied by a permanent militant and citizen gesture: the systematic boycott of the products, cultural services, goods and American firms. We must turn over the economic weapon against the neo-Carthaginian plutocracy of Washington and Wall-Street !
